Advisory Councils
The Centre is first and foremost for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
The work of the Centre will be guided by two key bodies. These are the Community Advisory Council and the Cultural and Clinical Advisory Council. The structure of these bodies are outlined below.

The Community Council will provide advice and guidance to the Centre with regard to relevant local and collective needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria. The Community Council will be a safe space where lived experiences can be shared in a culturally supported and respected space. Specifically, the Council will provide advice to the Centre with regard to:
Education: deliver relevant qualification by a registered tertiary provider
The needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Victoria from a SEWB and Mental Health process
The lived experiences (access, relationships, partnerships, service delivery)
The tools and practical supports for building clinical effectiveness in assessment, diagnosis and treatment
Developing and disseminating research and evidence for social and emotional wellbeing models and convening associated communities of practice.
The Cultural and Clinical Advisory Council will provide advice and guidance to the Centre with regards to the SEWB model and its clinical interface. Additionally, the Council will be utilised in developing approaches that will strengthen the clinical and cultural supervision of the workforce. Specifically, the Council will provide advice to the Centre in regards to:
Best practice in SEWB models
SEWB Framework implementation and putting into practice
Continuous quality improvement in clinical and cultural governance planning and development
SEWB workforce development Tools and practical supports for building clinical effectiveness in assessment, diagnosis and treatment Developing and disseminating research and evidence for social and emotional wellbeing models and convening associated communities of practice.
